How I Discovered My Way to Financial Freedom
Hi, I'm Kathy Lerchenmueller and I currently reside in the Catskill Mtn region of New York with my husband John and our dog Baron.  Up until recently, I was employed full time as an accounting assistant in addition to getting this business up and running.

I was raised in Salem, MA (the witch city) and lived there for 22 years.  I graduated from Salem High School and after graduation entered the working world instead of going to college. In spite of my lack of a college degree, I managed to find many well paying jobs in what I thought was my "chosen profession" - accounting.

My parents instilled strong work ethics into us, we were told if we worked hard and were dedicated to our jobs, that we would succeed in life and be rewarded.  While I always felt "compensated" for the work I was doing, I didn't "love" what I was doing.  I always felt something was missing and I longed to find it.

I had always DREAMED of owning my own business, calling the shots and being successful, but was always fearful of letting go of my security that I had in my job.  I worked for quite a few companies over the years, but for me a turning point came when one of my jobs was eliminated due to a bankruptcy filing.  It was the first time that I had ever been "let go" from a company and it was the worst feeling I had ever had.  I finally realized that no J-O-B was EVER going to give me the financial security that I wanted, that I had to find a way to make it happen for myself.

That was back in 1999, and I made a promise to myself that I would never be at the mercy of a traditional "job" again.  I was determined to find a way to have a steady income without being at the mercy of some corporate whim.   I was becoming frustrated with having to "settle" for what someone else felt I was worth.   That was when I first seriously started looking into ways to be able to generate an income from my own efforts and not be reliant on a traditional job. That is how my quest for a "home-based" business began, something I could do in my "spare" time a few hours each week to start, but still generate a decent income from my efforts and eventually work it into a full time business. I used the internet to search for work-from-home opportunities as well as other ways.  I looked into free-lancing, consulting (figuring I could draw on my accounting background) and did a lot of research on many different things.

I managed to find another accounting job quickly through an agency and I continued searching for other ways to earn money. Then in 2001 the company I was working for announced that they would be relocating from NH to New York.  At first, I was crushed, but they announced that they would relocate anyone who wanted to make the move. I still hadn’t located the “one thing” that would truly make me happy, but I was enjoying the job that I had and the people I worked with.   I didn't want to start somewhere new all over again so I studied my options at the time and decided that I would make the move with the company and start a new life in New York.

I happily relocated to New York to start my new life.   For the first time, I was TRULY on my own (no roommates to share expenses,  etc).  I had no family here, and didn’t know anyone in my new town…things were a bit lonely sometimes, but I had a good job and felt like this was where I was meant to be.  I focused on my job and meeting people and making new friends (my first step out of my comfort zone) and continued to search for that home based business that would make the difference in my life.

One of those “new friends” turned out to be my wonderful husband, John.  He has been my “lucky charm” in life.  I am so blessed to have met him and to be sharing the best part of my life with him.  He is truly my soulmate and I couldn’t ask for a more supportive and loving companion.   He is part of the reason that now, FINALLY, I am living my DREAM of owning my own business.  Both of us are approaching the time in our life when we want to truly be able to ENJOY our lives, travel and live the "good life".  We also want to find ways to give back to our community and those in need.

My journey to find a home based business has been a long and never-ending research of different companies and what they had to offer, not only to me, but to my potential customers. I used the internet to search for work from home opportunities as well as other more traditional ways.  I looked into free-lancing, consulting and did a lot of research on many different things.  I also knew that since I didn't have a lot of money just laying around (who does nowadays) to invest in my business, it had to have a low "buy-in" or start up cost.  It also had to offer a product that people would USE...over and over.

After a lot of research, I found this candle businessI discovered these amazing candles at an antique car show that my husband and I went to in New Jersey.  I had no real interest in going, but he convinced me.  As we were walking around, I smelled this wonderful aroma coming from the vendor tents, so I walked around trying to locate it.  When I found the candles, I was amazed at how great they smelled and the fact that they didn’t create that black soot around the jars.  I took some information and started doing some research on the company.  I didn't realize then that I would soon become the person on the other side of the table actually selling these to other people.

It took me another year before I was ready to take the steps to own my own business but I am glad that I did.  What makes it the "ideal"  business for me was the fact that I absolutely LOVE CANDLES!!!  Add to the fact that these candles smell so great and are long lasting and it was literally a "no-brainer" for me.  I love the fact that the candles burn so clean and I get a new fragrance each month.  The fact that I can actually make money from it was a bonus.  I used to spend $50. a month anyway on other candles, but didn't burn them as often as I liked to because of the black mess they created.

I have only been active in this business a short time, and already I am SO impressed by the willingness of everyone on my team to ensure my success.    My sponsor and other members of my team are always there....coaching, motivating and encouraging.  I know that I will be a success....and you can too!!  You are only limited by what you believe, so believe in yourself and be the best you can be.

Joining this company was one of the best decisions that I could have ever made to ensure continued financial security for both me and my husband.  There is no limit to how much you can earn, except for the limits you place on yourself.  Take the first steps to true financial freedom and join today.
